With cooling IT equipment accounting for, on average, 40% of a data center’s energy cost, optimizing cooling efficiency and effectiveness can significantly reduce the amount of energy consumed. Our cooling optimization program focuses on applying the appropriate energy conservation measures (ECMs) to reduce energy costs by up to 50%, creating a more sustainable data center and lowering your operating costs. Some of the ECM’s we use are containment of hot or cold aisles to improve air flow management which in turn allows an increase in cooling unit set points and in many cases reducing the amount of operating cooling capacity. By right-sizing the level of operating cooling capacity, not only do we reduce the carbon footprint of your facility, but we increase potential IT load capacity which allows for future growth without the addition of new cooling systems.
